The Hazards of Poolside Knitting

I took the twins out to the pool this morning. They wanted to swim before going to lunch. 

While they were swimming & having a lot of fun, I was chasing my pattern for the Sand Castles Shawl. 

It ended up in the pool. 

It didn't get completely soaked, but it was wet enough. 

What I didn't realize was...as I went chasing after it, (mid-row) all my yarn was pulling from the ball. Of course, this would be the time that the ball stayed put instead of rolling away from me. I am, however, grateful that it didn't decide to take a swim with the pattern.
