Gift for the Mamma

I finally finished the Mountaineer Baby Quilt. It was gifted yesterday, so I can share some better pictures. I was so excited, I didn't get final measurements. But, I will.
I'm hoping that they will use this quilt and not hang it on the wall. I'm funny like that. A baby quilt should be drooled on and washed lots and lots.

Today I will spend some time knitting on my Sand Castles Shawl.

Enjoy the day!

Tuesday at the Lake

Darren wanted to take the twins fishing, so we headed to the lake for the evening. Bass & bluegill cooked up for dinner. Watched River Monsters...creepy anacondas.
Here are a few quick pics I took.

The wine really messed up my count on the Sand Castles shawl KAL. But, it's all good now.

'Possum

My baby girls were home alone yesterday and had to look after the chickens.

The oldest now claims to be "a murderer" and Princess an "accessory"!

And they were all dolled up to go to the Taylor Swift concert!

Ain't life sweet, livin' in the country?!

More Open Cup Photos

Well, we had a great time!
The boys worked hard and won both games on Saturday. Sunday, they got a little "up in their heads". Their first game was against a team that beat us in the regular season 8-0. Blitz (that's us) was able to hold them 3-2 at the half with the great AR on our side of the field. The second half, we weren't so lucky and had a less experience AR that missed some key penalties. But, everyone has to get experience somehow. I just hate that it was such a disadvantage to our little guys.

Anyway, here are the 3 amigos taking a nap between games on Saturday. Aren't they just the cutest?!

Thing 2 getting laced up for Saturday's 2nd game.

And Thing 1 with his "Game Face"

This kid is never serious! Well, I guess he was in the last picture.
This kid is hardly ever serious!

The boys at Fat Patty's. Well, some of them...

And here are the rest of them.

All in all, we had a great time. I even had a little (very little) time to work on Darren's Trail Ride socks.

I'm hoping to get all of our busyness recorded on here, so come back in a bit and tell me what you think of the boys Mug Rugs!
